Vault Corridor & Cash Room

The exposure is not the vault. It is the few minutes either side of it being open.

Cash is exposed in transit, not at rest

A closed vault is a solved problem. The risk lives in the corridor between the vault, the cash room and the teller drawers, and in the arrival and departure of the armoured carrier.

Dual control, actually observed

Two people, neither able to complete the process alone. It is standard policy at every institution and it is quietly abandoned at busy branches. An officer positioned to observe the corridor is one of the few checks that it is happening.

Carrier arrivals should not be predictable

Where the schedule is fixed and visible from the car park, it is an advertised window. We look at this during the survey and raise it with your cash logistics provider rather than only with you.

The officer does not handle cash

Ever, under any circumstances, at any branch. It protects your staff, our officer and the integrity of every subsequent investigation. This is written into the post orders as an absolute.

Timed access and its side effects

Time locks and delay mechanisms are effective and they change officer positioning, because a delay only helps if someone can see and reach the area during it. We plan the post around the mechanism you actually have.
